Toast is a great, easy, quick healthy option for literally any and every meal: breakfasts, snacks, lunches, dinners . . . toast is ALWAYS a solid option.
We all have our favorite go-to’s and typically they’re pretty healthy.
But what about when you get sick of your standard toast situation?
Healthy Toast Recipes TOOOOO the rescue!
Today, I’ve got FOUR ah-mazing “recipes”. I say “recipes”, because they’re so crazy easy, they hardly count. 😉
All four of today’s toasts:
- Peanut Butter Apple (or any nut butter you like)
- Mushroom <– should be named Magical Mushroom, because it’s SOOOOO good.
- Berries N’ Cream
- Huevos Rancheros
are healthy, easy, and DUH-licious.

These recipes were created because I was in a SERIOUS snackage rut.
I try reeeeeally hard to eat healthy snacks throughout the day, but it’s hard for me to come up with healthy snacks ideas . . .
Ozery Bakery TOOOOO the rescue!
Ozery Bakery is a family-owned alternative to traditional bread products. Their products are are made from hearty whole grains, fruits and seeds and oh yea, UNBELIEVABLY delicious.
When I saw their OneBun Multi Grain Thin Sandwich Buns, I immediately knew I wanted to make some healthy toast recipes.
With 7 grams of protein per serving and a hearty, yet thin texture . . . can you ask for a better vessel?!
Toast #1: Nut Butter Apple
Toasted bun –> nut butter (I used an all natural, no sugar, just nuts and salt peanut butter) –> apple slices –> cinnamon –> chia seeds –> crushed nuts –> drizzle of honey.
This sweet toast is the perfect combination of crunchy from the apples, creamy from the nut butter, cozy from the cinnamon, and hellloooo just a *touch* of sweetness from the honey.
Toast #2: Mushroom
Toasted bun –> mushrooms that have been sauteed with a little coconut oil, salt, pepper, garlic, and champagne vinegar –> optional feta + gooey fried egg.
This. You guys. Is life changing toast.
I never in my wildest dreams would have thought I’d be so darn excited for a piece of toast.
This savory toast is hearty and PACKED with flavor from the garlic and has the best tanginess from the vinegar.
Toast #3: Berries N’ Cream
Toasted bun –> cottage cheese –> strawberries (or berry of your choice) –> fresh mint –> crushed nuts –> drizzle of honey.
I LOVE the creaminess from the cottage cheese mixed with the juicy strawberries and fresh mint.
This sweet toast is creamy, yet light and so incredibly fresh tasting.
Toast #4: Huevos Rancheros
Toasted bun –> refried black beans -> pico de gallo –> gooey fried egg.
This savory toast is the easiest (hellloooo store bought pico), but who doesn’t love a little hearty, yet healthy Huevos Rancheros in the AM?!
Overall, you can’t go wrong with any of these Healthy Toast Recipes and honestly I absolutely love the Ozery Bakery OneBun Multi Grain Thin Sandwich Buns as the vessel.
The flavor is outta this world good and I love that they’re thin and compliment the toast toppings rather than over power them.

Ingredients
Peanut Butter Apple Toast
- ½ OneBun Multi Grain Thin Sandwich Bun toasted
- 2-4 tablespoons all natural peanut butter or any nut butter
- Sliced apples
- chia seeds
- Crushed walnuts
- Sprinkle of ground cinnamon
- Drizzle of honey
Mushroom
- ½ OneBun Multi Grain Thin Sandwich Bun toasted
- ½ tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 (4 oz) package sliced baby bella mushrooms sliced
- ¼ teaspoon salt more or less to taste
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 1 clove garlic minced
- ½ - 1 tablespoon champagne vinegar
- Fried egg
Berries N’ Cream
- ½ OneBun Multi Grain Thin Sandwich Bun toasted
- ¼ cup cottage cheese
- Sliced strawberries
- Minced mint
- Crushed pecans
- Drizzle of honey
Huevos Rancheros
- ½ OneBun Multi Grain Thin Sandwich Bun toasted
- ¼ cup refried black beans
- Pico de Gallo
- Crumbled feta or cotija
- Fried egg
Recipe Video
Instructions
Peanut Butter Apple Toast
- Spread peanut butter on toast and top with sliced apples, chia seeds, nuts, ground cinnamon, and a drizzle of honey.
Mushroom
- Melt coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Once melted, add in mushrooms, salt, and pepper.
- Cook, stirring occasionally for 3 minutes.
- Add in garlic and vinegar and cook until mushrooms are tender, about 1-3 additional minutes.
- Pour over toasted bun and top with a fried egg.
Berries N’ Cream
- Spread cottage cheese on toast and top with sliced strawberries, mint, nuts, and a drizzle of honey.
Huevos Rancheros
- Spread beans on toast and top with pico de gallo, cheese, and a fried egg.
