These Air Fryer Eggs are easily peeled, ready in 10-15 minutes, and can be hard boiled or soft boiled!
I love hard (or soft) boiled eggs, because they’re healthy, packed with protein, and are so versatile. Serve them on their own with a bit of hot sauce, as deviled eggs, in egg salad, or even soft boiled on top of ramen!
Ingredients
Only 1 ingredient necessary for perfectly soft or hard boiled air fryer eggs!
- Eggs – use “large” eggs for the cook times listed below. If you use smaller eggs (like small or medium) or larger eggs (like extra large or jumbo) you’ll likely need to decrease or increase the cook time.
How to make
This recipe is so easy. All you need are eggs, your air fryer, and 10 minutes!
- Preheat the air fryer to 300ºF then place the eggs into the air fryer basket and cook for 9-16 minutes.
- Once they’re done cooking, immediately plunge the eggs into an ice bath for 1 minute then peel and enjoy!
How long to cook
The cook time depends on your preferences (do you like soft boiled or hard boiled?) but ranges anywhere from 9-16 minutes!
Here are the time ranges I recommend depending on how cooked you like your eggs:
- Soft boiled: 9-10 minutes
- Jammy: 11-12 minutes
- Nearly hard boiled: 13-14 minutes
- Hard boiled: 15-16 minutes
How to peel hard boiled eggs
The best way to make your hard boiled eggs easily peel-able is to shock them in cold water immediately after you cook them. This not only stops the cooking process, but it contracts the egg whites, which releases them from the egg’s membrane, making it easy to peel off the shell. Once the eggs are cool enough to handle, crack the egg all around by tapping it gently on a clean work surface (such as the kitchen counter). Hold the cracked egg under running water (the water helps to separate the membrane and the shell from the egg white) and gently peel away the shell.
How to serve air fryer eggs
- As a snack. Slice them in half, top them with a sprinkle of salt and pepper, and serve with hot sauce.
- In egg salad. Use them in this egg salad recipe and serve as a sandwich or on toast.
- As deviled eggs. Serve them as an easy appetizer at a party.
How to store
Leftover hard boiled eggs will last for up to a week in an airtight container in the fridge.
