Sandwich Kebabs.
It’s a thing.
A super
Fun
Easy
Delicious
Thing.
Perfect for a fun appetizer, perfect for an easy lunch, and perfect for when you just want to eat a really delicious, deconstructed sandwich. 😉
Who’s ready to hop on the sandwich kebabs train?!
The idea for Sandwich Kebabs came to me, because warm summer days (aka PICNICS) are right around the corner, and I’m always looking for fun ways to serve classic dishes!
To me, summer days are about spending more time with the ones you love enjoying the weather and less time inside cooking in the kitchen.
Eating outside with friends and family… what better to serve than sandwiches?! It’s the perfect picnic food.
But let’s kick it up a notch and do something cute:
Sandwich Kebabs it is!
And letmetellyou, they couldn’t be easier (or cuter 😉 ).
Cube baguette, colby jack cheese, and Jennie-O Premium Portions Hickory Smoked Sun Dried Tomato Turkey Breast into even bite sized pieces.
Roughly chop some romaine and slice some dill pickles.
Then.
ASSEMBLE!
Take a skewer and skewer away!
Cherry tomato –> baguette cube –> romaine –> cube of turkey breast –> pickle slice –> cheese cube –> REPEAT.
I LOVE using the sun dried tomato flavor in this recipe, but feel free to use Jennie O’s Hickory Smoked Cajun Style Turkey Breast or Oven Roasted Turkey Breast instead!
To take these Sandwich Kebabs one step further, I made a homemade creamy dipping sauce… because what’s a sandwich without a really good spread?!
Stir together mayo, sour cream, dried parsley, onion powdered, dried dill, and seasoned salt and dip away!
The best part about this recipe, is that it’s totally customizable!
PB&J Kebabs? Pepperjack instead of cheddar? Hold the pickle and add cucumber?
The possibilities are endless!
Fun. Easy. Delicious.
Sandwich kebabs for the win!
