If you love this fruit salad recipe, you’d also love these fruity sides: strawberry chia jam, pineapple salsa, and honey goat cheese strawberry spinach salad.

Berry Fruit Salad? Really, Jennifer, do we reeeeeeally need a recipe for that?

Yes. Yes you do, because this isn’t just any old fruit salad, this is a fruit salad full of my favorite berries, lemon, honey, and my secret ingredient: fresh mint.

I wanted a good, healthy, yet totally mind blowing delicious fruit salad for those dreaded times when you’re going to a potluck or grill out and are asked to bring the fruit.

Do you know what I’m saying? Nobody likes being tasked with bringing the fruit to the party, because it’s just so BORING and often ignored!

Not anymore.

Say hello to the new and exciting, star of the next BBQ, Berry Fruit Salad.

Blueberries held in two hands

Closeup of spoon in berry fruit saladNow that summer is officially here – liiiike it jumped from 50 degrees one day to 86 w/ %1000 humidity the next – I’ve been trying to figure out a healthier way to satisfy my sweet tooth.

This Berry Fruit Salad totally fits the bill.

It’s healthy, it’s really cold and satisfying for hot summer days, and now that berries are in season, it’s the perfect snack to curb my craving.

Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries in bowlPlus, it’s perfect for those last minute “oh shoots I’m supposed to bring something to that party” moments, because this will literally take you 5 minutes to put together.

How do you make a berry fruit salad with mint?

  1. Prep your fruit: slice strawberries and place them in a large bowl with blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries.
  2. Next, you’re going to chop some fresh mint and throw that in with the berries.
  3. Lastly, you’re going to whisk together honey and freshly squeezed lemon juice and toss that with the fruit.

That’s it you guys! 7 ingredients to make the yummiest, freshest, Berry Fruit Salad.

Can i make this berry fruit salad vegan?

Yes! If you’re vegan replace the honey with agave or maple syrup. If using agave, start with 2 tablespoons and add more to taste, if necessary!

Juicy berries, earthy mint, tart lemon, and sweet honey? Gimme!

5 stars This recipe is delicious and a crowd pleaser! It is my go-to easy berry salad mix and works well for events where I mix up the “dressing” in a jar beforehand and add it right before I serve it. I like to use lime juice occasionally instead of lemon.

If I want to make this ahead of time, should I just add the dressing when we are ready to eat?

Depends on how early you’re making this ahead of time. But anything more than 20 minutes, keep the dressing separate, or else the acid will start to break down the fruit 🙂

This is perfect!! I just picked up a bunch of berries from work with the intention of making a fruit salad. I was just going to wing it and was perusing Pinterest for some inspiration when I came across this one. I never would have thought to add mint and, since it’s the only ingredient I don’t have, I’ll have to pop over to the grocery store to pick some up before I make this. Thank you!! I’m super excited to try this! I have been hankering for some fruit something fierce lately 😊

Hi Jennifer! Thank you so much for this idea! I can’t wait to try it. I have chocolate mint (it smells like mint chocolate chip ice cream!) growing in my garden. I will use it for this recipe. Hester: You can’t really go wrong with mint. It will actually overgrow if you don’t pay attention. (smells nice when mowing the lawn…lol!)

Hi. Do you have a suggestion on a mint plant? I love mint in fruit salads. I want to grow some mint. But I am not sure what kind to grow. Do you have any suggestions?? Thanks.

Hi Hester! I wish I did, but I know absolutely nothing about planting, ha! I would maybe go to your local florist, or anywhere where they would sell herb plants 🙂

Let’s be honest. The berries are the best part of the fruit salad anyways! This would be a HIT at any of our potlucks!

5 stars LOVE the simple honey and lemon juice glaze over the berries and the mint just makes it even better! Also I’m always the one to bring the fruit salad because my family knows I actually like to…;) I’m weird like that. I love adding fresh additions to fruit salads like mint or even basil!
