It’s Friday and I don’t know about you, but I could really use some baked sweet potatoes fries with not 1, nope not even 2, with THREE dipping sauces.
Now.
These baked sweet potato fries are super tasty on their own or with a side a ketchup . . .
but I mean . . .
come on, we’re talkin’ 3 dipping sauces:
- sweet and tangy honey mustard
- fluffy marshmallow
- cozy vanilla maple
Yeahhh. That ketchup will just have to wait another time. 😉
When I was 19, I worked at this amazing pub in Cedar Rapids, Iowa called Parlor City.
Waitressing?
It’s hard, but one of my favorite perks was getting to try all of their delicious food.
Their food was so incredible, in fact, that even on my days off, I’d go in to eat. Of course, I could NEVER decide what to order, because everything was so amazing.
My favorite item, however, was their sweet potato fries.
Ohhh yum.
Hot outta the frier with a side of ranch dressing, and I was in food heaven.
It’s been years since I’ve been back and I still crave them {almost} daily.
To curb that craving, in a sliiiightly healthier, yet equally as delicious way, I decided to make my own baked sweet potato fries.
Guys.
Why have I not been doing this for years?
It’s laughably easy and don’t forget about those dipping sauces, because we’ll get there in a minute.

- Cut off both ends
- Cut sweet potatoes lengthwise into 6 slices – depending on how large your sweet potato is, you might want to cut your sweet potato in half the other way too
- Cut those slices into 1/4 inch strips
Easy peasy right?
Now that your sweet potatoes are cut into fries . . .
Let’s toss ’em in the cornstarch, olive oil, and salt and bake ’em up!

30 minutes to fries? Yes please!
While the fries are getting goooood and crispy, the sauces are made.
Sweet potato fries dipping sauce:
- Honey Mustard:
- Mayo, dijon, honey, lemon juice
- I’ve made this recipe before as a dipping sauce for my cheese wontons
- It’s sweet, it’s tangy, and it only takes 30 seconds to make
- Brown Sugar Marshmallow:
- Marshmallows, butter, brown sugar, half-and-half, cinnamon
- 60 seconds to warm this baby up in the microwave and you’re done
- Maple Vanilla:
- Powdered sugar, half and half, maple syrup, and vanilla
- It tastes like frosting. What more do you need to know?
- This also only requires 30 seconds to whip up
Once the baked sweet potato fries have finished, good luck trying to wait for them cool off before biting into the slightly crispy, salty fries with a soft, fluffy interior.
And you really can’t go wrong with the dipping sauces.
If you like sweet, salty, crispy, fluffy fries with lots of dipping sauce choices then you’ll go crazy for these baked sweet potato fries!
