Cook over medium heat, breaking up the beef as you go, until the meat is no longer pink.
Remove from the heat and optional: drain if there’s an excessive amount of grease, a little is ok to keep these moist.
Stir in onions, pickles, mayo, mustard, and ketchup, then taste and re-season, if necessary. Set aside.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Slice the group of 12 rolls in half horizontally so that you have one “slab” of tops and one “slab” of bottoms. (Do not pull the rolls apart.)
Place the bottom “slab” into the prepared baking dish, then top with American cheese.
Layer on the cheeseburger filling, then top with cheddar cheese.
Place top rolls on**, spoon melted butter evenly over the rolls, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake, covered, for 30-45 minutes or until the meat is hot and the cheese has melted.
Cut into individual sandwiches, serve, and enjoy!***
Take 5 seconds to . We greatly appreciate it!
*If raw onions aren’t your thing, simply add them in before sautéing the beef so they soften and cook.
**Secure the buns with toothpicks if they are sliding off the filling.
***These are very messy, so grab extra napkins!
