Caesar Salad Recipe

This classic Caesar Salad Recipe is loaded with crisp romaine lettuce, a simple, creamy dressing, and homemade croutons for a perfect crunch in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 batch homemade croutons use as many as you’d like
  • ¾ cup olive oil mayonnaise
  • 4-5 anchovy fillets more or less depending on how big they are
  • ½ cup shaved parmesan cheese divided + more for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 heads romaine lettuce chopped into bite sized pieces

Instructions

  • Make croutons according to recipe directions, then set aside.
  • Place mayonnaise, anchovies, 1/4 cup parmesan, lemon juice, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon, salt, and pepper into a food processor or high powdered blender and blend until smooth.
  • Taste and re-season, if necessary, then set aside.
  • When you’re ready to serve, place chopped romaine, 1/4 cup parmesan, and the desired amount of croutons into a large bowl, then toss to combine.
  • Toss with the desired amount of dressing, garnish with additional croutons and parmesan, if desired, then serve and enjoy!
