Blackened Seasoning
This Blackened Seasoning is the perfect dry rub for flavoring any protein: chicken, seafood, steak, and more! This homemade spice blend is better than store-bought and can be as spicy as you'd like.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 1 tablespoon salt plus more to taste
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper plus more to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
Instructions
- Place spices into a small bowl then stir to combine.
- Taste and re-season, if necessary.
- Use as desired, then store leftovers in a sealed airtight container.
