Place bacon in a single layer into a large stockpot.
Turn heat to medium/medium-high and cook until crispy.
Remove bacon, crumble and set aside, but leave the grease.
To the hot grease, add in ground beef, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Cook, breaking up the beef as you go, until the meat is cooked through and no longer pink.
Drain the grease.
Return the stockpot to the heat and stir in beer, broth, tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, relish, brown sugar, chili powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
Bring to a simmer and simmer uncovered, stirring regularly, for 20 minutes or until thickened to your liking.
Stir in bacon, taste and re-season, if necessary, then serve on top of hot dogs with toppings of choice and enjoy!
