Instant Pot Basmati Rice
This Instant Pot Basmati Rice is easier than making rice on the stove. This perfectly fluffy rice is a quick and easy side dish that's great served with any dinner.

- 1 cup basmati rice don’t rinse
- 1 - 1 1/4 cup(s) cold water *
- 2 tablespoons butter or vegan substitute
- 1/2 - 1 teaspoon salt
Place rice, water, butter, and salt into your 6 quart Instant Pot.
Stir to combine.
Close and lock the lid. Make sure the pressure valve is pointing to SEALING.
Cook on manual, HIGH pressure, for 6 minutes.
Once the cook time is up, allow the pot to do a natural release for 10 minutes.
Flip the valve to quick release the pressure.
Remove the lid, then use a fork to gently fluff the rice.
Taste and re-season, then serve!

*Using 1 cup water (1:1 ratio of water to rice) makes a more al denté rice. Using 1 1/4 cups water (1.25:1 ratio of water to rice) makes a softer, stickier rice.
Original recipes makes about 2 cups which serves about 2 people, but this recipe is easily doubled or tripled! Same cooking time applies.
