Apple Cobbler
This Apple Cobbler couldn't be easier. A tart, gooey Granny Smith apple filling with a fluffy, yet crisp topping; this is the perfect Fall dessert. Don't forget the vanilla ice cream!

Cobbler Topping
- 3/4 cups unsalted butter melted (1 1/2 sticks)
- 3/4 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour spoon and leveled
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Cobbler Filling
- 6 cups Granny Smith apples peeled, cored, and sliced (1/4 inch thick) - approximately 4 large apples
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup turbinado sugar for sprinkling
- Vanilla Ice cream for serving
Cobbler Topping
Place melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt into a large bowl.
Mix until well combined. Set aside.
Cobbler Filling
Gently toss apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, and vanilla together until well combined.
Pour into prepared baking dish and spread out into an even layer.
Crumble the topping evenly over the apples.
Sprinkle turbinado sugar over the top.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the filling has thickened and the topping is cooked.
Cool for 15 minutes in the pan before scooping and serving with vanilla ice cream!
