- 1 batch spaghetti bolognese
- 1 pound ziti pasta
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 (8 oz) package provolone cheese slices my package contained 12 slices
- 1 (16 oz) container sour cream
- 1 (8 oz) block mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- fresh basil optional as a garnish
Make bolognese according to recipe directions. I like making this a day in advance to save time.
Cook pasta 1 minute less than al dente, according to box directions.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a deep 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
In a very large bowl, toss the pasta and bolognese together until well combined.
Taste and re-season, if necessary.
Spread 1/2 of the ziti evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Layer with 1/2 of the provolone cheese slices.
Dollop then spread out 1/2 of the sour cream on top of the cheese.
Sprinkle with 1/2 of the mozzarella.
Repeat the layers.
Top with grated parmesan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the cheeses are melted.
Serve and enjoy!
Take 5 seconds to . We greatly appreciate it!
*You can try using about 6 cups of your favorite meat sauce instead.
Making the bolognese is included in the prep/cook time.
