Meatloaf Recipe

Topping & Dipping Sauce
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar packed
- 1 1/2 cups ketchup
- 1/4 cup mustard
Meatloaf
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 medium onion diced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 large eggs lightly whisked
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Meatloaf
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a loaf pan with cooking spray.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat then add in onion, garlic, and a touch of salt and pepper.
Cook until tender, about 5-10 minutes.
Move mixture to a large mixing bowl.
Add in breadcrumbs, buttermilk, Worcestershire sauce, ground beef, eggs, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
Use your hands to mix the mixture until combined.
Place into greased loaf pan.
Spread some of the topping on the meatloaf. Don't do too much or it will slip off.
Bake in preheated oven for 90 minutes or until the meat is fully cooked (160ºF internal temperature.)
Let sit for 15 minutes before slicing.
Serve with remaining sauce on the side and enjoy!
