  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup California Walnuts
  • 1/2 cup mini m&ms
  • Candy eyeballs to taste
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a rimmed baking sheets with a silicone mat or parchment paper. Set aside.*
  2. In a large bowl, beat together butter, brown sugar, and egg yolk until fluffy, about 1 minute.
  3. Beat in maple syrup until well combined.
  4. Add in flour, baking soda, and salt. Beat together until fully combined.

  5. Stir in California Walnuts and mini m&ms.
  6. Using a cookie scoop, scoop 6 cookies onto the prepared baking sheet.

  7. Gently press the candy eyeballs on top of the cookie dough.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until cookies are cooked to your liking.
  9. Gently press more candy eyeballs into the baked cookies, if desired.
  10. Repeat with remaining cookie dough.
  11. Enjoy!
