- 1/4 cup unsalted butter cold
- 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg yolk cold
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup California Walnuts chopped + more for topping
- Vanilla ice cream
- Chocolate sauce
Grease two slots of a jumbo muffin tin with cooking spray and pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, beat together butter, brown sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
Beat in egg yolk.
Add in flour, baking soda, and salt and mix until well combined.
Stir in dark chocolate chips and California Walnuts.
Place the dough evenly into the two prepared slots (about 1/2 cup each).
Bake in preheated oven for 14-18 minutes, or until cookie is baked to your liking.
Remove from oven and serve with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and extra walnuts, if desired!
