Ingredients

  • 8 oz bacon about 7 strips
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 (16 oz) cans Busch's original baked beans
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Spicee Gourmet's St. Louis Rib Rub
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Start with a cold metal skillet and place about 8 oz of bacon in a single layer. Turn the heat to medium and cook until just crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan, but leave the bacon grease in the pan! Dab off any excess grease, and dice the bacon into bite sized pieces.
  • Now, cook the diced onions in the bacon grease.
  • Place all the ingredients (including cooked bacon and onions) into a large bowl.
  • Stir and place into an oven safe dish. Cover this with tin foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  • Remove the tin foil, stir, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes, or until the beans are hot!
