Yep. I went there…but hey, I waited until October, so I get a liiiittle credit right?

Well, I’ve actually been making this PSL since September, but I waited to share it with you guys until October. 😉

Like me, I’m guessing most of you wait all year for Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte, but as much as I love them, my wallet sure doesn’t. If you’ve been following along, you know that Trevor and I have made some pretty big life changes, which means, Starbucks is no longer a luxury I partake in.

Woooomp. Womp. 😭

It was a sad day, until I made my very first homemade Maple Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Life is happy again. 🙂

The nice thing about this Maple Pumpkin Spice Latte, other than it tasting absolutely delish, is that you know exactly what you’re drinking. I mean, what’s actually IN pumpkin spice syrup?

MY pumpkin spice latte only uses natural maple syrup to sweetened it, real pumpkin, and various spices, vanilla, and skim milk.

Plus, it only takes a matter of minutes to whip up…much faster than waiting in the busy drive-through!

pumpkin puree being drizzled with maple syrupTo make this maple pumpkin spice latte, all you need to do is heat your milk to your desired temperature, throw it into your Vitamix (or other high powdered blender), along with pumpkin puree, maple syrup, vanilla, and cozy, warm pumpkin pie spices.

Blend this on high until frothy. You could probably skip this step and just whisk your ingredients together over the stove, but the frothy makes it feel more like a fancy store-bought latte. 🙂

All that’s left is to pour the mixture into a mug and stir in your espresso!

espresso being poured into mug Easy peasy. Right?

Oh! I should also mention, because Trevor’s not a huge coffee lover, that this would make a great steamer, too! Just skip the coffee part and enjoy!

But wait, let me get this straight…

This Maple Pumpkin Spice Latte is cheaper than store-bought, faster than store-bought…oh yea and tastes better than store-bought?

Yep!

How’s that for PSL winning? 🙌

This Maple Pumpkin Spice Latte is SO good in fact that I have many plans for drinking it while wearing a cozy sweater and boots while going for a walk, while cheering on our college football team, and while snuggling in bed with a good book on a cool, rainy night.

Is there anything better than fall and pumpkin spice lattes? 🍂

(the answer is no 😉 )

Notes

* Make this vegan by using your favorite non-dairy milk! Although, we tried it with almond milk and thought it was a little bitter. Let us know what you try!

5 stars I used a bit less than a cup of unsweetened coconut milk, added a little heavy cream, 3T. maple syrup (will use less next time) and strong Taster’s Choice decaf. I’m enjoying it now. 😉
