I just LOVE juice and smoothie recipes. While this is my favorite juice recipe, I absolutely love these other smoothie recipes: peanut butter and jelly smoothie bowls, cherry smoothie bowl, tropical green smoothie, blueberry muffin smoothie.

You guys. This is my FAVORITEΒ Green Juice Recipe. I’ve actually been drinking it for almostΒ two years now (ever since we got our new juicer) and I can’t believe I never had the thought to share it with you!

For me, juicing is never a meal substitute, but something I add on to really packΒ in my fruits and veggies. This Green Juice Recipe makes me feel so good and I actually really do enjoy how it tastes. It’s also the perfect gateway into juicing if you’re somebody who doesn’t necessarily love the taste of vegetables!

Now, as much as I try, I know I don’t eat enough vegetables. Ahem, especially on days when I’m recipe testing these oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. You understand, I’m only human! πŸ˜‰

Green Juice tooooo the rescue! This recipe makes FOUR cups of juice and within that holds super food kale, cucumber, celery, lemon, ginger, and apples.

6 simple ingredients to make a truly delicious, super healthy, and really easyΒ Green Juice Recipe!

Trevor and I started making thisΒ Green Juice Recipe a few months before our wedding, because, like I said, there are days when I’ll eat more chocolate chips than I do fruits and veggies.

What does green juice do for you?

While I really do love my fruits and veggies, I knowΒ it isn’t realistic (for me personally) to get what I needΒ simply by eating them every day! That why I love, love, LOVE juicing.

Green juice for me = more fruits, veggies, and nutrients into my body!

Is it better to juice or blend?Β is juicing really better for you?

Now, I know, juicing is kiiind of controversial, because let’s be real, it’s probably better to actually EAT your veggies then drink them, because you’re missing out on all the fibers in the fruits and veggies, but drinking them is easier for me, and heck, that’s way better than nothing, yes? πŸ™‚

Plus, hellooooo thisΒ Green Juice Recipe is freakin’ delicious.

What are the best green juice recipes?

While I think THIS is the best green juice recipe. πŸ˜‰ It’s also good to mix it up a bit! Here’s a great article containingΒ 11 Healthy Green Juice Recipes.

Personally, I think THIS is the best tasting juice recipe and has a ton of benefits:

  1. Um. It’s healthy. This recipe is PACKED with tons of fruits and veggies.
  2. It makes me feel good. Hello glow-y skin and happy tummy.
  3. It makes me make healthier choices throughout the day!
  4. It makes me CRAVE fruits and veggies more. Before juicing, I wasn’t a huge fan of cucumbers, but now? Gimme!

This Green Juice Recipe is packed with kale, cucumbers, celery, lemon, ginger, and apples! Loaded with fruits and veggies, this juice is healthy and delicious! showmetheyummy.com #greenjuice #veganHave I convinced you? It’s healthy and delicious, makes you feel good, and comes together in 3 simple steps!

How do i make a green juice?

Step 1: WashΒ and prep your veggies. Need to save time? Do this the night before!

Step 2: Ummm juice them! We use this juicer, and yes, it’s a little pricy, but think of it as an investment! We’ve been using it for almost two yearsΒ and we’reΒ still crazy about it!

Step 2.5 – this is optional: Chill your juice!

How long are juiced vegetables good for?

It’s really best to drink green juice right away, but CAN be left (covered) in the fridge for 24-48 hours.

Depending on the kind of juicer you have (look at your manual), it’s best to drink your juice immediately. With the juicer we have, this greenΒ juice can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for 24 hours. I prefer my juice ice cold. πŸ™‚

Step 3: Drink and enjoy!

Now. Easy enough, yes? But here’s a question I get asked a lot:

What do you do with the leftover pulp?

Honestly, you can throw it away if you want, but if the thought of wasting really bugs you, here’s a really great article onΒ 20 Smart Uses for Leftover Juice Pulp. Personally, I compost!

Packed with loads of fruits and vegetables, this Green Juice Recipe is so good for you, naturally gluten free and vegan, and is ridiculously delicious!

How many calories are in a green juice?

Depends, but this recipe contains about 83 calories per cup!

4 stars Love this recipe however, I would halve the lemon or not put it in. It was too much for me. But then again, maybe I didn’t put in enough kale as a bunch is hard to figure. For me, I will remove the lemon next time and see how it goes. However, despite the lemon, it is good.

If you quarter it first, it’s easy to remove the peel by pulling it back away from the fruit. That’s the easiest way I have found to remove the exterior.

5 stars I just doubled the largest recipe and have a gallon of green juice! I did decide to turn it into 2 gallons by diluting it with filtered water (I have to ease into the taste a bit), so I have enough to last me 32 days! I spent less than $40 on all the produce it took to make this much, so I’ll save so much money by making this on my own. I’m just so glad to invest in my health, save money and start incorporating a breakfast juice into my life. I always tell myself I’ll drink orange juice, but I don’t like loading up on that kind of sugar in the morning. This is more natural, less sugar and less calories! Thank you for sharing this!!! I’m so appreciative!!!

5 stars If you think you’re missing out on the fiber with this recipe – take some of the pulp and add it to the juice. Caveat! Don’t put in too much or the “results” will be alarming.

5 stars Really good recipe!!! Super tasty and best of all I barely taste the cucumber… which I personally don’t care for…. I didn’t juice it but rather put it in my vitamix with some added water to loosen it up; this way I get all the benefits of using the whole fruits and veggies with no waste. Anyway I will definitely make this a staple! Thanks

5 stars Hi….I just made the recipe this morning. It is amazing! Even my young teen liked it. Since I do not have a juicer, I used a blender and drank the pulp and all! It was a very tasty smoothie! To the recipe, I added 3 cloves of garlic and 1 whole carrot. I didn’t peel the lemon so I can tasty the zestyness. This is going to be a daily staple for us. Thank you so much for this very tasty recipe and cheers to a healthier future!

5 stars When I was working with JUST a blender (I now often do both steps; juice then blend) I bought carrot/orange/pineapple juice… trader joes has a huge selection; u can keep trying till u discover ur fav! Watermelon juice is excellent with cucumber, lemon and mint, but if u have a sweet tooth buy their frozen pineapple bits, they not only chill ur drink into a nice smoothy density but they also work wonders to hide bitterness, the unfortunate side effect of all the best greens

I wouldn’t! Cucumbers are really fresh, cooling, and juicy and apples are sweet, tart, and juicy. Zucchini won’t give you that same flavor and callaloo seems like it’d be a replacement for the kale.

Hi, Lynda! You can definitely do that but it will be more like a smoothie than a juice since juicing extracts the moisture from the produce. I recommend using a high-powered blender or blending for a while just to make sure it’s as smooth as possible. I’m sure it will still be delicious though. πŸ™‚ Hope you love it!

I appreciate the nutrition information but could you tell me how many servings this recipe makes? I see it makes 4 cups but the nutrition info doesn’t state how many cups equal the 83 calories, it only states per serving. I would appreciate your response since I am on a calorie restricting diet.

5 stars doesnt matter – just blitz it and see what its like – adjust for say if you want more spicy ginger – even a teaspoon of sugar !!!!! if you dont like the pulp strain it but then that pulp is full of good roughage …

5 stars Blenders require more work, this is the method I use since The Jucier I was is a little pricey. I went to the dollar tree and purchase a large mesh sifter (recommended) and/or cheese cloth if you don’t have one and already. Just pour the pulp into the sifter over a bowl. * Tip 1: I pour water into the blender to get things going Tip 2: Keep a grocery bag near by to toss all the pulp. Delish recipe!

5 stars One of my health gods (woman, early 70s, looks 45 years old, never drank alcohol, body looks better than most 40 years old) she said when you mix acidic fruit (oranges, lemons) with non acidic fruits and veggies while juicing the acid kills the enzymes and dilutes allot of the fresh juice nutrition so it’s better to have your lemon acidic juices by themselves to get all the benefits of the juice. Separating the acidic juice will make your juice last up to five days refrigerated. Just stir and serve.

Thanks for the advice, I have been preparing green juice for a long time with the help of the juicer that you recommend (bought from your link). For myself, I realized that cooking takes a lot of time, which at the moment I do not have. Therefore, I switched to green juices, which are sold in stores, but over time I realized that they are not all useful because of the high sugar content. To whom it was interesting, I chose from this review: https://dietifi.com/best-green-juices/ Personally, I liked the second option of all (Evolution Fresh).

I’ve been making green juice for over 10 years. spinach, apple, cucumber, kiwi, celery, lemon, ginger. Today I read an article that you shouldn’t eat spinach raw….WHAT!!!???? May have to switch to kale or some other green. Any ideas? 4-5 days at a time. If I had to get out and then clean my juicer every day I know it wouldn’t happen. Who has time for that?

You can always add more of an ingredient (ginger, cucumber, apple) if you’d like more of a certain flavor… super easy recipe to change.

5 stars Thanks again for another great recipe. I really enjoy the ingredients in this green juice. I have a Breville juicer that I use. I use about 2-3 pieces of Kale, 1-2 celery sticks, 4 inches of a eu cucumber, 1/2 peeled lemon, 1/2 green apple, 1/2 inch ginger. Makes about 8-10 oz Love it. There is nothing like the Real, True, energy you get from this nice juice. Thanks so much!!!

5 stars Love this! I usually throw in some spinach and a lime along with everything else. I freeze it in ice cube trays. The night before, I will take out 7-8 cubes and put them in my blender cup along with a few chunks of pineapple and some coconut water and put them in the fridge, then blend in the morning. I love mine ice-cold also. I could down a gallon at a time!

I use Parsley ,Celery,Cucumbers and Carrots and fruit juices with Ginger, Banana,Oranges and Apples. To use citrus I must add a piece of organic potato to avoid stomach ache. Can you suggest any other low histamine trigger veggies to use?

Hello Jennifer! Excellent green juice recipe, and good choice for your juicer, too. I love Omega juicers and have the J8005. It’s held up for years, now, and I’ve learned all of the little tricks for how to get more juice out of pulpy fruits, such as, juicing the hardier items after them like the kale, carrots (if they’re in a recipe), etc. Your juice images are so crisp and clear. πŸ™‚ That’s how I found this juice recipe (perusing through Pinterest looking for good juice recipes to re-pin). I went ahead and re-pinned it to our website’s juice recipes board and am going to tweet it out, too. Cheers, and happy juicing to you and Trevor! πŸ™‚

I am not a ginger person, never have been, and always skip it in recipes. Does it give the drink a strong taste?? I make these types of drinks every day for us . I keep wanting to try it again but somehow just can’t quite get myself to do it. Maybe because I’ve never used the fresh. Does that make a difference? The smell does me in with my touchy stomach but maybe since I’ve had my gallbladder out it will be better ! Thanks

Hi Kathy! You could definitely skip it here. πŸ™‚ However, I personally don’t think the ginger is very strong in this recipe. My suggestion? Start with a little, maybe only 1/2 inch, and go from there! I think the ginger gives the green juice a little “spice”. Fresh is definitely better than ground ginger in my opinion. πŸ™‚ I hope that helps and I hope you love this juice!
