Easy dips are the best. Be sure to check out these recipes too: hot chocolate cheesecake dip, loaded pizza dip, instant pot mexican corn dip, and crack dip! Two ingredients. Two ingredients is all you need to make the BEST, the EASIEST, the most addicting snack/app ever. Everyone, I’d like to introduce you to Cream Cheese Salsa Dip.

Chip being dipped into cream cheese salsa dip

What are the ingredients in cream cheese salsa dip?

I’m sure you’ve already guessed it, but just in case….

  1. Cream cheese
  2. Salsa – I use picante sauce, which is basically less chunky salsa

Jar of salsa That’s IT! 🎉 🎉 🎉 You may be doubting how amazing this stuff is, but trust me. This cream cheese salsa dip is thick, creamy, a bit tangy from the cream cheese, and bright from the picante. The best part? Ok fine. There are two best parts:

  1. It’s easy to make
  2. It’s totally customizable

How do you make cream cheese salsa dip?

It literally takes 30 seconds to put together.

  • Place softened cream cheese and picante sauce into a food processor and pulse until it’s well combined.
  • Then pop it in your fridge to cool and serve with chips!

Can i use any kind of salsa in this recipe?

Probably! I’ve only tested it with Pace Picante and it’s so good that I’ve never had a reason to try another brand! If YOU do, let me know in the comments below. One thing I DO know, is that this is great at any spice level. I’ve used mild, medium, and HOT. The choice is yours! Make one, or make them all! It’s an especially good option when you’re having a party, make a mild version for the kids, and another version with a little kick for the adults! Speaking of parties – btw – make this for ALL football games. I’ve honestly never met anyone who doesn’t like this cream cheese salsa dip. Make it the night before, or make it as a last minute snack an hour or two before the game. Serve it up with tortilla chips and it’ll be gone before you know it. 😉 Luckily, it’s super easy, so just make more! Creamy. Spicy. Addicting. Easy. Spoon in bowl of salsa dip I LOVE THIS DIP! – Jennifer

5 stars I love this dip, but I use 2 8oz blocks of cream cheese. I also prefer ruffled potato chips instead of tortilla chips with it.

Glad you like this, Mary! I just talked to my mom and I guess she makes it with 2 blocks, too. I updated the recipe for people to use 1-2 blocks depending on how thick and creamy you want it. I’ll have to try with potato chips 🙂

5 stars My mom taught me this recipe when I was younger, and I make it all of the time! I also add half of a red bell pepper, half of a green bell pepper, and a quarter of a red onion. I also try to use low fat cream cheese when I can!

I make this but as salsa cream cheese rolls so I use a tortilla wrap spread it in sprinkle some cheese, roll it and cut them, they’re a great snack or even an appetizer ‘cause it’s a finger food.

4 stars I always grew up making it with chunky salsa and warming up the cream cheese in a bowl a little bit and mixing it up. No need to use a food processor. People always thought I was weird until they tried it. I also like using the scoops tortilla chips to get more dip!

I’ve never tried this warm – yum! I like the smoother texture using the food processor, but if you like chunks, that’s great!

4 stars Made it with a medium super chunky salsa. I added diced tomatoes and a bit of fresh scallions. Then I mixed by hand. The key was to add the salsa slowly to get the perfect salmon pink color. It was AMAZING.

Hi Diane! It doesn’t get very thick (see video in post for consistency), but if you wanted it thicker, you could blend in more cream cheese. 🙂 I should also get a bit thicker once it’s chilled in the fridge. I would not heat it up. Enjoy!
